OMP FIA Racing Net

The OMP Racing Net is designed for use in competition racecars where a racing net is mandated. The net conforms to the FIA 8863-2013 standard. FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) sets safety standards for various automotive components to ensure a high level of safety in motorsports. The inclusion of a quick release buckle is a crucial safety feature. In the event of an emergency or if a fast exit from the vehicle is required, the quick release buckle allows for a rapid release of the net. 

The net is designed to be compatible with any saloon/tin top car that has a multipoint rollcage. The rollcage serves as the anchor point onto which the adjustable webbing straps of the net should be fixed. The net's webbing straps are adjustable, allowing for customisation based on the specific dimensions and configuration of the rollcage in the vehicle.

This type of safety net is typically used in motorsports and racing events where FIA regulations require the use of safety nets. The purpose of the net is to enhance driver safety by preventing the driver's limbs from extending outside the vehicle in the event of a rollover or crash.  It is in some cases necessary to mount one net either side of the driver as seen in certain series' such as Porsche Carrera Supercup. 

This net is only intended for use in vehicles with a robust rollcage structure, providing additional protection in case of an accident.
