P1 AIR Balaclava - FIA 8856-2018

The latest generation balaclava from P1, our Italian racewear supplier. This new AIR model is manufactured to the latest FIA homologation standard, FIA 8856-2018. This homologation has been brought in by the FIA to increase the amount of time a layer of underwear can withstand heat and flames. Despite this, P1 have managed to make it more breathable than their previous homologation hoods. It's also light and "thin" material; something we are asked about a lot with fitting helmets and a comfortable balaclava.

The AIR balaclava is made of a single layer of Nomex with two layers around the face area, as per the latest regulations. 

Available to order in white or black. 

Size: One Size ('Large' also available for 63cm+ head diameter)

Supplied with hole in front for drinks tube or comms lead in formula racing.

As required for all forms of stage rallying since 2022 from clubman level upwards.
